Vale Airfield TAS
The Vale Airfield in TAS is a 1300M, private, immaculate grass airstrip located in a river valley. There is higher terrain on all sides including both approaches. Use caution after heavy rain. At times of strong S or SE winds use caution on approach to runway due to turbulence or wind shear. Animal hazard exists on the runway early morning and late afternoon.
The large private airfield running along the valley floor offers aerial access to this amazing corner of the world. The airfield is on a farming property, known for it’s superb lamb.
