Surrounded by the stunning expanse of the ancient Kakadu National Park, the small town of Jabiru offers the perfect place to start your explorations of the area.
Built back in 1982 to house the small community living near the Ranger Uranium Mine, it is now a fully-functioning town with plenty of things to see and do – not least experience the beautiful scenery of the surrounding national park.
In the town itself, you’ll find a charming central plaza that’s flanked by souvenir shops, a supermarket, cute cafes, and family-run bakeries.
Jabiru is located 256km from Darwin.
