The airstrip is part of the Kimberley Aerial Highway – a series of remote airstrips that land you in some of the region’s most iconic wilderness landscapes and unique accommodations. You can arrange charter flights from Broome to Mount Hart and stay at the wilderness lodge to venture deeper into the ancient ranges, or join a day tour from Broome for a breathtaking scenic flight over the world’s only horizontal waterfalls, and a land safari through boab country to spectacular Sunset Hill.
Following the tracks and trails reaching out from Mount Hart Wilderness Lodge, you’ll discover one of the Kimberley’s most idyllic swimming spots beneath the cascading 100-metre waterfall at Bell Gorge, and a string of lush palm-filled groves and secluded fishing holes teeming with birdlife, rare plants and animals.

Mt Hart Camp Ground is located approx 1 kilometre from the Homestead on the banks of the Barker River. This grassy camp ground is a great place to relax away from the bustle of the Gibb River Road.
