Moruya New South Wales

Moruya in New South Wales is a natural playground on the banks of the beautiful Moruya River. Located in the Eurobodalla region of the NSW South Coast, you can be as relaxed or adventurous as you choose. Go kayaking, cycling, skydiving, fishing and surfing. After all that activity pick up fresh regional produce at the weekly SAGE Farmers Market and Moruya Country Market.

Shelly Beach at Moruya Heads is a gorgeous spot, with Moruya Heads lookout offering views of the Moruya River mouth. Keep heading south and you’ll find more superb beaches at Congo and Bingi, as well as the scenic Bingi Point. Explore local Aboriginal heritage on the Bingi Dreaming track.

Moruya is the smallest of the three towns on the Eurobodalla Coast, and the administrative centre of the shire. It is home to the council offices and other public institutions, such as the Moruya College of TAFE.

The historical selection of Moruya for these institutions arises from the fact that Moruya lies near the centre of the Shire. Moruya is one of the older towns in the region. The Shire runs from Batemans Bay in the north to Tilba in the south

Moruya Airport is located 5km from Moruya’s town centre. Use the taxi services at the airport to make the short trip southwest. Alternatively, rent a car from the hire services available at the airport and explore the Eurobodalla region at your own pace.
