Within a short drive you can fossick in some of the world’s richest gemfields for sapphires, emeralds, topaz, other gems and minerals.
Stroll through Glen Innes’s CBD with its charming colonial streetscape, hanging basket-adorned shopfronts and more than 30 Heritage listed buildings. To see them take the Heritage Buildings Walk or one of the fascinating Tourist Drives.
Throughout the year the local region hosts a range of festivals and events, one of the major events is the Celtic Festival which celebrates the rich celtic history of our region and is held at the Standing Stones (open all year), official national monument to Australia’s Celtic pioneers.

A secluded self contained cabin with breakfast provisions – perfect for a relaxing getaway.
The cabin is completely private – cosy in winter with the potbelly fireplace and cool in summer. Inside it is fitted out with creature comforts including spacious bathroom with rain shower, open plan living area, comfy bed and quality linen, great sound system, gourmet kitchen with espresso coffee machine. Kitchen has full sized oven, cooktop, and fridge/freezer.
Outdoor veranda with couches and views to get lost in. Ideally suited for a couple, however, additional guests can be accommodated upon request. Pull out sofa and porta cot available.
A range of delicious meal options are offered, and all feature fresh seasonal produce from the local region.
