The Pier

Pelicans at the Pier, Hervey Bay, Country Airstrips Australia

Interested in attractions in Hervey Bay? If you’re a fitness fanatic, or just a person who admires unique engineering objects, see this attraction!! I only stayed here for a short transition, but I treated myself to a walk on this Hervey Bay wonder.

The pier is approximately 900 metres long, and constructed of mostly timber and concrete. Fisher people of all ages gather along its length, to hopefully catch a feed of fresh seafood, or joggers seen running its length for exercise, I simply just enjoyed the majesty of this wonderful icon and talked face to face with a couple of inquisitive pelicans (the large sea birds). These two large birds were just sitting on the railings, hoping for a piece of bait or scrap fish to appear before their eyes. See this pier if you are visiting the Hervey Bay region, you owe it to yourself to take a walk on history.
