Wedderburn Aerodrome in NSW is an unlicensed private airfield located in Wedderburn, New South Wales. The airfield caters for recreational aircraft owners and pilots. All of whom are members of the New South Wales Sport Aircraft Club.
The Sports Aircraft Club aims to foster and promote recreational and competitive flying. They welcome sport aircraft of all categories, designs and types.
Please note: Beware of Kangaroos & Ducks. There is growing concern that wildlife is becoming a hazard to aircraft. The wildlife includes kangaroos on the grassed areas well before dusk, and ducks at just about any time during the day. Please ensure the airstrip is safe for operations before taking off and landing as Kangaroos have been sighted on the runway and taxiways during operations.
Wedderburn in NSW is a suburb of Campbelltown, 46 kms from Sydney.
Wedderburn is the only Campbelltown suburb on the right bank of the Georges River. The steep gorge and heavy bush gives it a small country town atmosphere, rather than a suburb. The causeway on Wedderburn Road, which provides the main link to Campbelltown, is known to flood during heavy rain, increasing Wedderburn’s isolation.
