Homesglen, also know as the Alan Afford Airfield, is a new airstrip located five nautical miles from Hopetoun in Victoria. The airstrip is private and prior permission is required to land.
Hopetoun is a small rural service centre in the southern Mallee. Surrounded by rolling sand hills and grassy plains, the town is located on Yarriambiac Creek, near Lake Coorong. It is a district known for its grain production, prime lambs, gypsum, Angora goats, poultry and pigs. It’s a quiet town driven by the surrounding rural economy.
