The Corowa Airport in NSW is an ex-WWII training airport with only a couple of the original buildings remaining. It has also been used for national and international parachuting events.
The airport is also home to Corowa Recreational Flying, the Corowa Soaring Centre and the Corowa Cougars Rugby Club. It is also the local headquarters of the NSW Rural Fire Service.
The Airport is also home for 10-12 weeks of the year to the Army Parachute School.
Following a successful expressions of interest process, Federation Council resolved to enter into an agreement to lease with Amber Aviation Academy. The leading edge Aviation Training Facility with state of the art equipment will be of great benefit to Corowa.
Amber Aviation Academy is a certified flight training academy that educates and trains Commercial and Airline Pilots. It proposes to also facilitate Cabin Crew, Ground Support Crew, Aviation Engineers and Technicians from the Corowa facility.
With qualifications nationally accredited and internationally recognised, Amber offers an individualized training experience focusing on personal learning outcomes.
